2. Identify the influences that effect the decision: society, personal, legal, peer, family, cultural, ...
3. List possible solutions (This is what other people have tried...)
4. List the risks and consequences involved with each of the solutions
5. Make a decision
6. Implement the decision
7. Evaluate the decision and maybe start over
