M & M's and linear regression

Part I.

1. Place four M&M’s in your cup, and record on the table below that you have four M&M’s initially.
2. Shake the cup and roll out the M&M’s onto a piece of paper.  Count the number of m’s that show.
3. Place the M&M’s back into the cup, and add as many M&M’s as the number you just counted.  For example, if there were 2 m’s facing up, your cup should now have 6 M&M’s in it.
4. Record how many M&M’s are in the cup now.
5. Go back to step 2, and repeat until you run out of M&M’s.

Part II.

1. Count all of your M&M’s , and place all of them in the cup.  Record how many M&M’s are in the cup.
2. Shake the cup and roll out the M&M’s onto a piece of paper.  Remove all M&M’s that have the m showing face up.
3. Place the remaining M&M’s back into the cup.
4. Record how many M&M’s are in the cup now.
5. Go back to step 2, and repeat until you run out of M&M’s.
